January is quite different from the other months. It can feel a bit, well, empty and echoey—at least at first. If our December was busy, then January can feel like a letdown by comparison. We kind of need to “gear down” or grow accustomed to a quieter volume setting. Knowing that January is often a long cold month where I live, I find it helpful to remind myself in advance that it’s okay to slow down and take quiet walks in the snow. Once I slow down, then I’m much more present and “dialled in” to hear and see the tiniest of flutters of joy. Teeny bird and mouse (vole?) footprints on top of the snow. The poetic image of red berries against dark bare branches. The ephemeral days of “sticky snow” for building snow people.
January is also Tamil Heritage Month. International HolocausT Remembrance Day. Guru Gobind Singh Gurpurab. National Day of Remembrance of the Québec City Mosque Attack and Action against Islamophobia. Orthodox Christmas. Dry January. Veganuary. Surely we’ll find meaning, hope, and repair from conversations about all of these special observances.

$40 for the whole month
My financial situation has changed a lot during the pandemic, and I find this to be a stressful time. I really need this refreshing yoga routine for my mental & physical health. Thank you, Zoe, for creating this supportive & smiling community to brighten my whole month.
Or…
I have so many missed classes from last session, so I’ll be making up those missed classes as well.
Or…
I’m able to afford pre-pandemic rates, but I’ll only be able to attend 2 or 3 classes this whole month, so this option feels right for me.
$70 for the month
I’ll only be able to attend about once per week, on average.
Or…
Even if I’m able to attend several classes per week, my financial situation is challenging right now. I have a bunch of missed classes to make up. This rate feels right for me for this month.
$140 for the month
Right now, my financial situation remains the same as before the pandemic, so I feel very lucky that I’m able to pay almost the same rate that I used to pay for 2 classes/week, pre-pandemic. And thank you, Zoe, for allowing us to attend as many classes as we wish per week during the pandemic, for almost the same rate that I used to pay for only 2 classes/week. That’s unlimited classes for the price of two!
$200 for the month
Right now, my financial situation remains the same as before the pandemic, so I feel very lucky that I’m able to pay almost the same rate that I used to pay for 3 classes/week, pre-pandemic. And thank you, Zoe, for allowing us to attend as many classes as we wish per week during the pandemic, for almost the same rate that I used to pay for only 3 classes/week. That’s unlimited classes for the price of three! I love knowing that my payment will help cover the cost of frontline healthcare workers and yogis who are racialized or going through a challenging time right now.
